OUR STORY
Lactation Support Rooted in Compassion, Culture, and Care
Reclaimed Journey was born out of a calling—to center the voices, needs, and lived experiences of families too often left out of traditional lactation spaces. I founded this practice with one core belief: everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported on their feeding journey.
My own path into this work was shaped by both personal experience and professional passion. I’ve walked alongside families in hospitals and community spaces, and I’ve witnessed the beauty and the barriers that come with navigating infant feeding—especially for Black families and other communities pushed to the margins.
I created Reclaimed Journey as a space where families could reclaim their power, their stories, and their right to be nurtured with dignity. Whether you're breastfeeding, chestfeeding, pumping, combo feeding, or finding your own way—your journey is valid here.
At the heart of this practice is a commitment to:
Compassion – You’ll be met with empathy, patience, and nonjudgmental care at every step.
Culture – Your cultural values, traditions, and parenting choices are respected and honored.
Care – You’ll receive evidence-based, individualized lactation support designed to meet your goals.
This work is not just about feeding babies—it’s about restoring trust in our bodies, building connection, and breaking cycles of misinformation and inequity. Our vision is that Black families will survive and thrive in well-supported environments.
